The way back along the north and west coast was one of the highlights of the trip.

Isle of Skye
A side trip to the Isle of Skye (photo on the right) is definitely worth the time. Isle of Skye
Eilean Donan Castle The "Highlander-Castle" , Eilean Donan Castle.
Loch Ness Sunset at Loch Ness. Again Nessie the monster didn't show up, very disappointing.
Kilmartin
There are many prehistoric sites near Kilmartin, south of Oban. Kilmartin
ferry from Zeebrugge to Hull On the ferry from Zeebrugge to Hull one has to fix the motorcycle oneself, with ropes or a own lashing strap. 
On the ferry from Scrabster to Stromness/Orkney the crew will fix the motorbike very professionally.

We had 2 weeks for the trip, and  drove 3,849 km (2,406 miles).
I would recommend to take 3 weeks time for such a trip.
