A Mexican motorcycle rider we
met in Tecate said we would soon be sick
of seeing cactus everywhere. After
more than 1500 miles riding among them we
still enjoyed seeing them.

Going further north the weather
got worse again with rain showers every
now and again. |

|
Since we had rain again we feared
to meet flooded
roads around Santa Rosalia again. The
downtown was flooded again (or still?) but the
main arroyo, north of town, was dry, yeah!

When we stayed at Rice
and Beans in San Ignacio on the way
south we were the only adventure
motorcycle
riders there. We hoped this time we
would meet fellow adventure riders there and we
were not disappointed. We had a great night with
good food, lots of drinks, and tales from the
road. |

On the way down we had skipped the
actual town of
San Ignacio due to pouring rain. This
time we went and enjoyed this charming small
town. It has several more hotel options, but for
motorcycle riders Rice and Beans seems to be THE
meeting place. |

We continued north
on Ruta 1 in landscapes that we had
seen only in the pouring rain on the way down.
