The Dinosaur National
Monument is definitely worth a visit!
The rock wall covered in dinosaur bones is
impressive.
While the National Monument stretches quite a
bit into Colorado, the entrance from Utah
is the only place to see dinosaur fossils. |

The Dinosaur National Monument
also has some Petroglyphs to offer. I
always joke that they are proof of aliens. |

Next stop was the Colorado
National Monument near Grand Junction. |
|
|
|
It is essentially a large rock
sticking out of the somewhat flat surrounding
area. It offers some really nice views
and a very twisty road, great ride. |

I followed Colorado Hwy 141
south and it turned out to be a great ride. The
road is not very twisty but for about 100 miles
it goes through a canyon. The canyon starts wide
and narrows down to barely more than the road
width.

At the south end of the canyon the
Hwy 141 climbs partially out of the
canyon and offers great views..
