At the campsite somebody
suggested a route. We either got the wrong
road or he was nuts. This route was steep and
way to rough
for our loaded down bikes. So, we
turned around and took a different route. |

The route we chose turned out to
be a relatively easy gravel
road to Packwood, WA. |

As was to expect in August, all
campsites around Mount Rainier were full, so we
looked for and found a nice
rough camping spot in the national
forest next door. The panniers and table plate
from www.coyotetrips.com
worked great once again. |

You can't legaly camp rough in a
national park, but in a national
forest it is allowed, as well as on BLM
land. Just leave the site as clean as you found
it, or better. |

The next morning we rode our
motorcycle into Mount
Rainier
National Park, up to Paradise, which is
a great road, with lots of nice views. |

I had been on this road before,
but always love coming back for the great
views.
